One sunny afternoon, the queen called her son to the royal garden. “My dear son,” she said calmly, “it is time for you to choose a life partner. But remember, she must not be just any beautiful girl who wears a crown.”
“What should I look for then, Mother? How will I know she is the right one?” the prince asked, looking curious.
The queen smiled wisely. “Look for a princess with a pure heart… one who feels the pain of others, speaks with kindness, and cares deeply, even in the smallest moments.”

Standing at the gate was a young girl, completely drenched, shivering from the cold, and looking exhausted. The guards brought her inside, and the queen immediately wrapped a warm blanket around her. “Who are you, dear child?” the queen asked softly.
With tears in her eyes, she replied, “I am Princess Aura. My cruel uncle captured our kingdom and locked away my parents. I managed to escape all alone into the storm. Please help me.”
The Queen’s Secret Midnight Plan🧐
The queen immediately ordered fresh dry clothes and hot soup for Aura. Even though she was in immense pain and terribly tired, Aura spoke to the servants with absolute respect and deep gratitude, thanking them warmly for the food. Watching from a distance, the queen nodded approvingly. “She speaks with sweet respect, Adrian,” she whispered. “But even the purest gold must be tested. I have a plan.”
A Tiny Pea Hidden Under Twenty Mattresses 🌙
That night, the queen prepared a special bed for Princess Aura. She went into the guest room, took all the sheets off the bed, and laid a single, tiny green pea right on the wooden frame. The next morning, the royal family gathered at the breakfast table. Aura entered the room looking quite tired, with dark circles under her eyes. The queen smiled and asked gently, “Did you sleep well last night, dear child?”
Aura hesitated politely, then said honestly, “Thank you so much for your hospitality, Your Majesty. But to speak the truth, I could barely sleep. Something incredibly hard beneath the mattresses troubled me the entire night, and my back is quite sore.”
